Couldn't stretch the budget for the equinox (regretfully) settled for the G2+.

Looks like a need to keep saving to upgrade sooner rather than later.

dont be too sad mate :).. i got a g2+ that will only leave when its dead :).. there are places the nox ju st simply wont be able to hunt due to it poor emi capabilities, and that g2 will, and at full gain!, as my mate found out when we were hunting around buildings with inverter aircons..the nox was inoperable in that environment, the g2+ was at full gain and picked out 50 bux, he borrowed my spare machine and plucked 20 odd bux, which the nox couldnt help him with..so use that g2+ and you will easily pay for a nox quite quick :Y:

It's not that bad with EMI, I was detecting next to a phone tower and under power lines yesterday at sens 20, after a while I started getting some EMI trouble and I dropped the gain to 16 and it was fine. You don't always have to run a detector flat out to get good depth and sensitivity.

Hit a spot this morning with the Goldienox where I got my day's record total last year with the CTX which was about $105 in three hours, well the Nox didn't dissapoint today either and the sportsfield had replenished very nicely, managed just over $100 in 2 hours 45 minutes. The remainder I found at Freshie Beach yesterday, also got a junk ring a junk earing and the strangest find to date which is a christian skate punks necklace.....

 That's an impressive haul! Awesome to see all those stacks of goldies from a hunt. Well done! Gotta be a large gold ring due anytime now.

Keep up the great work, Heatho! :Y:
Shauno.

Hit Manly beach for a few hours today, finds were patchy but still some nice stuff to be found, though summer is gone and so are most of the tourists. The ring is a Pandora job.....

Out at the parents place today in The Hawkesbury region , anyway I hit a few parks in the area and got maybe 10 bucks. You guys probably will think this find is a bit sus but noooo, I actually can't believe it either, the ingot was a solid 38 signal on the Nox and weighs 79g..... Happy days.

Nice little ring too which looks quite old.

That's a lot of threepences worth of silver Heatho, what a find. Hopefully a gold bar will be on the horizon soon (unlikely)! ;)
