Most excellent photos Heatho,.... Could be a power problem shutting down the Alditecta, maybe check that it's not fatigued somehow.

It sure is fatigued mate, dodgy switch though I'm sure.

Got out for a couple of hours this arvo, pretty slim pickings though for quite a lot of junk targets. Got 2 junk rings, thought the first was a little rose gold ring but it's not, it's light as a feather, the second is one of those resin coated Tungsten junkers, thought is was silver or platinum when still dirty from the weight until I wiped it clean and there was no hallmark. 1951 Three Pence was the highlight of the afternoon.

The 51 looks like it was dropped in pretty good nick Heatho,.. the wheat looks nice and clear.

Only a quick swing this morning, got a few bucks, a bunch of BB's and a 1934 Halfpenny. Then 300 screaming kids turned up for Friday sport and that was my cue again to do the bolt as about 50 of them were running in my direction screaming "METAL DETECTOR", I ran faster than they did in the opposite direction back to the sanctuary of my car........ Foiled by Friday sports again, will get out earlier next Friday.....

Infinium should find the silver pre decs if they are there, are you hunting old sites?

the park i think will be a good spot is surrounded by houses and a large building complex, it used to be a very important part of the area and has a really long history, i just cant tune out emi for the life of me

Sometimes dropping sensitivity way down might help Jamie.

Go the ALDI  discriminate that baby halfway and go for a scout around the edges and under trees. bare patches are your best friend as the soil tends to be thinner in these areas.

The ALDI is a great recon tool.
