arrived today the Whites MXT Pro I bought for relic hunting as much out of curiosity more so than need, to compare to my XT705, & as a backup machine when a family member or friend comes with me, & to compare on quartz gold (in low mineralisation) with my GM1000
The 10x6 DD Eclipse coil came with it, & I picked up the 300 (12"CC) & a book 'The MXT Edge' from good bloke forum member Grubstake :Y:

Hey Smokey, just looking at the photos, mate no need to go anywhere, leave it where it is, put the fireplace near it and plant some nuggets. Put an ad on here and watch the tourists from south arrive in droves. Just sayin

Yes Mackka.
It's a nice spot :) :Y:

Only mentioned it as most tyres sit on the shelf for extended periods before purchase, which contributes to their manufacturer recommended life span of 6 years. A mate years ago got an insurance claim knocked back. A tyre exploded on the Birdsville track, wrecked his CT.

ozone & moisture causes the rubber to deteriorate in a way that is not always visible. Most recommendations Ive read suggest that tyres should not be over 6yo from date of manufacture. For many its a hard call to throw out tyres that still have plenty of tread, but go on a long &/or rough trip & you risk the sidewalls blowing out, even if they have no apparent perishing or cracking. Ive seen it happen!
