This suggestion might not be the norm but I'd inform the council about the needle and hopefully they run a machine over it, the Ronald suggests kid's use the space :8. Great finds :Y: maybe informing councils to do a clean isn't the done thing (maybe a thread on it's own for this question) obviously I don't detect beaches.
No beach cleaner at this spot mate...Only me :)
I must say that I've been detecting this spot for at least 5 years and this was the first needle I've found there.
Unfortunately you do see them in parks and beaches occasionaly.

The coins cleaned up pretty good but they are a bit worn.
50 to 100 years rolling around the sand will do that though :)

Cheers :) :Y:

Nice cleanup and the best haul of silvers I've seen come from a beach in a while. Pity that pair of pennies aren't in uncirculated condition. The Bahco shifters are my favorites, just gotta get used to the adjuster going the opposite way to other nut-f******s!

Their getting hard to find around here. :Y:

Hi Mate.
I think it was a sky diving suit from a stunt he did in the 80s but I could not find that particular Ronald toy.

Nice 36 shilling Smokey and nice session with the spendables . Soooo the cops didnt hang around to ask questions , just in case you were berrying weapons or bodies :playful: . Its a good point though , we go about our detecting hobby in the middle of the night kitted out , head torch/hat, harness Plug digger (potentially dangerous) - You would think we would be asked more questions by the police . I only ever been asked once - the question was did you find anything , I said um just a couple of rings , they were fake . The police officer looked down at me because he was about 7 foot and Im from the shire and said .... well he said nothing and kept on walking like robocop . I was fairly surprised by his lack of interest .

A good hunt there Smokey, hopefully the Shilling will clean up nicely for you. I stopped using lesche type tools at night, the Raptor tool is a lot less "knife like", painted orange and a lot less likely to be mistaken for a weapon. Can't say I've ever had any issues with the police, they have all been pretty good so far. :D

Good point Goldpick- Im thinking some of the knife-like plug makers that you can buy from reputable detecting stores could be classed as a weapon .

Cheers Dan and Goldpick..
I'm in Caboolture and have been stopped by the popo. before.
They probably know me as the crazy early morning detectorist and know I'm not doing anything wrong. :Y:
