So my Padawan learner and I went back to the swamplands to see what crusty critters we could find.

The only silver I can date for now is the 1918 6d. Have them soaking in SAV for now.

 Swamp coins 8) ....Those coppers are toast  The penny looks like it'll turn to dust if you sneezed on it
Some nice early dates there....Do any 1800's coins show up in the swamp? :rainbow:
Difficult swinging in that long grass   :Y:

Yeah mate,my golf club hunt was in the same spot. https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=341587#p341587
Think it's time to get the whipper snipper into this spot to see what else is there. Am running the 705 on full sensitivity as the grass keeps the coil about 10-15cm above the soil. at least there is no modern rubbish at this site.

You certainly know how to flush out a bush sight 8) and that spoons has plenty of hall marks on it :Y:

Well done :)

Did well to pick up on the smaller silvers in the high grass, does the English threepence dip into the 1800's?

Unfortunately many of those hallmarked spoons are plated, come to think of it I am yet to come across a full silver piece of cutlery as yet. :)

Nice older shilling, have you thought about sneaking underneath the hall for a detect, might have been a few coins slip through the floorboards in the early days. :)
