Excellent hunt,but I have never seen silver coins look so damaged from being in the ground :/

But saying that some nice old coins and silver after all :Y:

Thanks guys,I thought the 2 com 3d's were 1c as they looked like coppers coming out of the ground.
The area is very swampy so 100 years of moist ground is probably not to good for them.

Well guys ,today i found a bucket lister I did not even know was on the list
Just wish someone would invent the whipper snipper coil as the grass was too high in most of this spot to detect.
All coins found within 3 meters of each other

Coins washed of dirt,very swampy ground so a fair bit of oxidization.

This weekend I went on a field trip in search of the migrating goldies...
Seems they have taken up residence in the nice warm sands of the local park.

A few silvers made the trip too.

Was even a 1920 penny hiding under the park sand.

Top spot that, great results & great scenery too! Old halls are becoming harder to detect these days, with many being sold off to private owners due to lack of use - bit sad really.

Had a new lens installed it the left eye yesterday,it's like someone turned the high deff back on again.
Not supposed to do any gardening for a month,but swinging a coil should be okay,right?
Got my apprentice to help today,he's coming along nicely.

I think it is the extra blood pressure from the squatting/bending and digging that is what is to be avoided so as not to pop the new lense before the entire cut n joined surfaces have had time to fully rejoin.
so this won't happen

and end up looking like this

now some would say Silver is just trying to scare ktmman into leaving coins in the ground for his own benefit. LOL (as if)

Is all good guys,I let the young fella do the work,and coached him on what signals to look for.
My Dad had both eyes done a while back and his first eye went funny after a few weeks. Deff don't want that happening to me so no work for this black hearted pirate for a while.Thanks for looking out for my coins though silver
