1948 Australian Penny "Droopy 4"

Hi all,
Just wondering about this 1948 Australian Penny that i have, it appears that the 4 is droopy, if anyone can shine a light on this that would be great.

I'm not seeing it. What does "droopy" mean to you?

I can see it! The "4" seems to be a lot lower than the height of the other numbers. The "9" also sits lower but looks as though it is meant to, whereas the height of the "4" appears to have a greater margin.
It could just be how they come, I'm not sure, but i definitely see what you mean codman82.

Im thinking that he is talking about the base line of the 4. The left hand side droops downward

From a quick search on google it definitely looks as though the base line is indeed "droopy" with that lick off to the left, the height seems to be how they come.
