I got a fair bit of free pine off-cuts at one stage ( many ,many trailer loads ) and used it to get more heat out of the fire ,but sometimes it got too hot. Mine is probably 30 years old or so. They do a good job , hey ? The last time i got the glass made , it cost me $120 and i also bought new ropes to line the door and seal the glass in the door. The heater place told me it would cost another $120 just to fit the ropes and glass !!! It is not hard to fit them ,as you would know and definitely not a $120 job. 4 screws and 5 minutes` work. I just laughed at them. Wish i was on an hourly rate like that.

Spent most of the arvo trying to line up the timing after changing the belt on a DOHC subaru. What a lot of fun trying to get the 4 cams and crank lined up perfectly while negotiating the other 5 idler pulleys and tensioner. What a nightmare.

Now i am just surfing the `net.

I came across this interesting article in the Ballarat Courier. Good thought , but totally not doable ;

'Preventable threat to our vulnerable wildlife': new calls to fence off mine shafts,

Thinking about Our Treatment at Gold Coast University Hospital on Sunday night.... F$#@#$g Disgusting ... After a Major Strike 3, We will NEVER step foot into that place EVER AGAIN...

How many times do I have to place My Wife's life in their Hands, Only to have them Stuff up Time and Time again... I feel that one day, if I give them another chance, She won't be coming Home... So no more.... I will deal with what-ever happens Myself...

lol... Give them a clap.. That cracks Me up.... Ha ha More like a Bloody BIG Slap...

Should have wedged the pulleys and marked their position before taking the belt off, a couple of degrees out makes a big difference.

RU OK mate?
Hope things work out for the better. I'm not up to speed with your wife's condition, but I hope things work out ok.
My thoughts are with you both :flowers:

At the moment, No im not... But hey We will be...

Soooo I have a Question for the Forum..

If Someone presents to Emergency by Ambulance with a TIA, which is a Stroke but with-out the Bleed in the Brain (mini Stroke, blood vessel swells but doesn't burst) , Slurred speech, lost sight in one eye, Can't hold her right arm up, No fine Motor skills what-so-ever, Would you as a Junior Dr, Transfer That patient to the bloody Covid 19 Ward after sitting for 4hrs in the Emergency Ward?

Thats what happened to Us.... And when Questioned about their move to this Ward, We were abused by the Nurses and Security Staff and was told she has Flu-like symptoms ... Total BS....

Three times Now this Hospital has made Major stuff-up with My Wife's Life AND We will Never trust them again...

She has lost her 'Thinking', cant get her words out right, Still has limited sight in her Eye... And her right arm is still just as weak... This may last Forever...

So after She suffered one of these TIA's several years ago, with life-lasting 'injuries' She/We now have a lot of New issues to deal with..... :brokenh:

The Day We leave this State can't come soon enough.... I AM SOOO PEEVED OFF...

Am so sorry to hear of this bad news about your wife

Is there anywhere up there you can take her LW?

Your wife will need extra care

Goody :flowers:

shite, sorry to hear that LW.
This country/world is farked as we knew it.
What's happened? Flue like symptoms? FFS!!
I'll pray for her tonight mate.
I hope things come together for the better.

You could take action against the hospital, but you'll need a good lawyer.

Best regards :flowers:

Tried that one GPX... After getting the shite bashed out of Me by a run-away Mental Health Patient while visiting a mate in the surgical ward at the same Hospital , No Lawyer would touch that case.. I tried them All... So I doubt any-one will this time either... :/

QLD Health are the 'Un-touchables'...

I have Internal Email evidence Under Freedom of Information Act of them saying that Face to face meeting must take place so there is no evidence of Emails if ever I try to bring a claim against them on that one...  And they think that is acceptable... GRRRRRRRRRRR.. I was told it was...

So anyhow She has been checked out by our GP and a Specialist and it has been confirmed that She has had another TIA .... Time will tell if she has lasting effects ...

We will go to another Hospital if this ever happens again... And as i was told after the first time, I think it will, as her late Farther had over 20 TIA's before the 'Big one' took his life...

Over 40 yrs here so its Time for a tree change to get out of this Hell Hole... and enjoy life instead of just Surviving...

A Complaint has been logged with QLD Health... AGAIN... But I won't hold my breath waiting for a response...

Thanks for the Prayers All... much appreciated.. :Y:

Every time I look at Goody's New Niece, brings a smile to my face tho.... She is soooo cute...

Did that , but the tensioner has to come out and is a pain to get back in because it is under pressure and in a stupid spot under the air con which is difficult to move. They originally have a pin to hold the piston back when you first put them in and that gets taken out once fitted. The belt is tight to fit and you have to fit all pulleys except one,put the belt on and then squeeze the last pulley on. With the engine still in the car ,there is not much room to move and the cam pulleys are under pressure and can slip even when clamped. Once it is all together you have to turn the motor over by hand twice and if it all lines up again , it is right to go. I got it right first time, but it was a pain. They are a complicated vehicle to work on.

Email a complaint to the Health Minister and don't hold back even advise them if a satisfactory outcome isn't received you will take it to the media. It's free and only requires a bit of your time. I'll back it in you will grab the Minister's attention.

It's a bloody disgrace to hear your family was subjected to such poor treatment, definitely not good enough. I hope you take it up with the health minister and get an outcome that puts your mind at ease. There are serious changes that need immediate attention at that joint by the sounds of it. All the best mate, thinking of you and your family :flowers:

pondering how in the hell I'm going to fit a winch to my prado with a soverin winch bar. Unfortunately toyota no longer make or provide the kit for mounting a winch

Have a look on the Prado Forum... Im sure someone has done it before... more than likely you will need a Winch Plate..(ebay) welded on to the Chassis , but I haven't seen the type of bar you are referring too or know much about Prado's...
