Just bought one of these little personal locating beacons as i find im spending most of my detecting time all by my lonesome out in the middle of nowhere ....$259 from outback adventures ..10yr battery life and australian made. Cheap insurance i reckon :D https://www.prospectingaustralia.co...32/1549961167_optimized-20190212_182303-1.jpg

Great buy :Y: as for me if I bought one the battery would be out of date the way I'm going :8 when I do get the opportunity I'm generally alone as well. I've got it on the to buy list though :Y:

Well I have just ordered a wifi enabled digital thermometer to keep an eye on the pellet grill while I do extended slow cooking. As long as the internet is working, I can track the progress from anywhere. This time Ill get an alert when bbq plays up 6 hours into the cook with $50 of meat on the line....

On its way from Kansas city... Come on UPS don't keep me waiting too long...

Bought a combo pin-pointer and digging tool of Ebay. Should be interesting to see if it works. The pin-pointer coil is built into the blade tip.

21/02/19.

The combination pinpointer and digger trowel works well. Much tougher than it looks. Not very sensitive but sounds off well when within an inch of the target and is loud on contact. It is a no motion vlf type and does not work in high iron mineralisation, so not much chop in the Aussie gold fields but very handy for the coin and jewellery hunters.

There was a very funny set of parodies of original Lady Bird picture books published a while ago.

Here is one about police. Very funny.

The part that cracked me up the most was ( the truncheon is used to hit a suspect that is resisting arrest) following sentence is ( there confessions are written down in a notebook)  most resisting arrest charges happen in the interview room dont they ?
