Ok. I overdid it a bit, but overall happy.

No fuel or batteries required, just a bit of elbow grease to glide this Japanese made pull saw through any type of timber.
I have cut through fallen tree branches and logs blocking tracks and barely raised a sweat.... its the sweetest cutting saw I have used.

The Silky's are great, I have a small one for those smaller jobs.

Maintenance in important. Our poor old saw is badly in need of a new chain and bar because the bar is worn unevenly causing the saw to cut around corners.

It still gets the odd job done but the bar jams in the cut once it gets a bit deep. The problem is that a new saw is cheaper than fixing the old one :)

your chain is cutting off as one side is sharper than the other :Y: that causes the bar to wear uneven ;)

Flip the bar and sharpen the chain mate...(If you haven't already that is)
Should keep you going. :)

Who on earth charges more to sharpen a chain than buying a new one?

Chain should last until teeth break off.

Usual problem is uneven sharpening.
