No, not the laying of transmission lines.

It has been compared to the Snowy Scheme which was actually thought up and completed in around half the time it took to complete this project.

but No the the standardization of the rail gauge. This was a new construction and is comparable to a similar project in the USA completed 10 years before the start of this one. The American project was almost double the size of ours.

This project was build in stages to complete the whole.

Experiencing this project is being heavily advertized on tv at the moment
