Two hunts under the belt so far for 2016. First was around two hours next to the Lake here and found a handful of decimal for some fuel/beer and a chunky brass/copper chain...

Second was last night for a short hunt during sunset down near the river...

Happy with another Silver FINALLY and from a quick search online a 22 6p is worth a few $$$ in this condition. It looks worse than the pics make it out.

Happy Hunting All

Mike. :D

Great hunts Mike, a sign of pre-decs down at the river is a good thing, reckon I would be hitting that area in a big way. :)

Thanks guys!!!

I meant to say the photo makes the sixpence look worse than it really is!

I have pulled quite a few shillings, six and thrips from down near the river as well as loads of copper and a few hundred in decimal.

Always a fun place to swing.

Cheers

Mike. :)

Good onya Mike, top little silver find ,... and the pennys not too bad either. :D

Wowzers, been awhile since I posted but been out quite a few times recently for a healthy decimal return in $1 & $2 coins. Passed the $100 mark last week for the year without including the 50/20/10 & 5c coins!!! :):)

Did a quick swing of the ding at an old fav park of mine that has been kind to me before and was quite happy after an hour or so...

The Britannia is very worn & smooth but very happy with it. I was freaking out at one stage as I swear the bottom half penny was a 23 for a while and was all giddy like a school boy but alas it turns out to be a year older......

Ahhhhh, it's good to be back in with some PD's :)

Cheers & HH

Mike.

Oldies and a silver,..
Makes for a nice hunt MIke .
Well done on that score ! ;) :D  :p

Snuck out for an hour last night to the Lake for a quick cherry pick. Only had 2 bars of sensitivity running trying to find recent drops. Quite happy with the results but also cannot wait to get the new coils delivered and go over this area again. Massive park/picnic area and have only wandered around the main strips so far.

Happy Easter & Happy Hunting Everyone!!!

Mike ?

Evening all...

Got my 8x5in coil today and took it on a date after dinner/kids asleep...

Used this coil on an Ace 350 before and know how well it works. Was a fun hour session with a bucket list surface find included......... I will let you guess which one....?

VB can? :D Oz military forces button I'm guessing is your bucket lister. ;)

Which NEL coil did you end up ordering?

Hey GP,

Yep button was a very happy surface find!

I bought a NEL Storm coil and cannot wait to take it to my 1800's patch.

Will be there tomorrow arvo no matter what kind of day I have at work.... ?

Well got my new toys but only got out for around 40mins yesterday to play around. Keen to hit some of the places I have found older coins but for the time being I can only get out for a bit of decimal, not a bad thing but the silver itch is making me twitch!

Scored an ANZAC $2 coin which I thought was cool, have seen heaps of these before but this is the first one I have detected.

The new NEL Storm coil was pinging quiet accurate depth as you can see by this one of many BB's

Also got the bottom plate of another Lesney hot rod and a small part of my first cap gun...

And the reliable tuna can and junk...

Heading out again tonight for a bit of a go with the NEL for some decimal again but come next week I will be back up the Central Coast to visit my folks again and to hit the beaches. RJ/Rocket... If you need someone to go over your old haunts with a big coil let me know! :D

Cheers,

Mike.
