Haha minelab are taking there time to release the 19 inch but I did get a text from EE. Day&Sons in Ballarat saying I can pre-order the 19 and it will be released in September.

Geez, a 19" coil, some folks complain about the weight of the CTX, That monster is really going to give you a workout, How is the balance of the standard GPZ, I know they have a bit of weight to them, wont this coil throw the balance out, ?

john.

I had a go using the CTX for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago and it feels like a feather compared to the Z. The balance is not to bad, I'm used to it and the harness helps a lot, need it after swinging 8-9 hrs and for the 19 inch I been told it's not much heavier than the 14?

I have also heard of a September release for the new 19" 7000 coil, pretty much at the end of the prospecting season;great timing by ML, better late than never though; the pricing will also be interesting when it's announced.
The weight difference between the CTX3030 and the 7000 comes to the fore when working the goldfields and swap detectors between relic and gold hunting, an interesting exercise in perception.

What a beautiful collection SC!

They will be hard to part with for sure. Might pay to "lose them" somewhere safe. Haha! ;)

I'd echo the rest of the sentiments here in that it's definitely worth a further hunt (particularly when the new GPZ19" coil drops). Too good of an area to let go.

I hope there's a monster bit left waiting there for you!
All the best,
Shauno.

Cheers Shauno... Yeah mate im not looking forward to selling them but going to keep at least one plus who knows i might need the extra $$$ for the 19 inch, i just hope ML don't charge a fortune for it.

Hi guys,
Caught up with Pig Iron yesterday for a swing. Have to say it was an enjoyable day but damn cold in Cresswick forest 8 deg. Good to see a newbie unearth their first bit and I am sure there will be many more to come. As Pig Iron lives locally hopefully he will locate the next eldorado and give me a call to help him clean up lmao.
