Thanks Mat, I'll be out there again soon mate, really needing a gold fix, might be heading to HE for a couple of days on Sunday, not sure yet as it's a mates birthday next Wednesday so I'd be pushing my luck. Got a 1941 Penny too which was quite a low mintage, only 1 588 000 were made. Other pennies were 38, 52, 53.
Spent quite a few hours out swinging today, was a top day for it, sun shining, hardly any wind, silvers popping out of the ground, yep can't complain.

I think these USA, Candaian and UK coins I've found over the last few days would have been brought back by returned service men or women.

Surely Australians back then travelled overseas outside of servicemen? We also occasionally find US, Canadian, and English coins amongst other countries ... And I would think not many servicemen were stationed in the US to get the coins? I often here that explanation and wondered ...

My suburb was predominantly built for war veterans. All the streets in my suburb are even named after WW2 names and campaigns. So it could be a reason but maybe not.
You could be right though, maybe just travellers.

All those service men and women overseas would have swapped coins with each other to bring some back for the kids and missus to see and have,... would have done that with any nationality they could have,... if they were so inclined of course.

Congratulations on the full house Heatho, the CTX is creaming through the coins. I've found a few US coins, usually around post war government housing, so thinking they may have been brought back from OS by servicemen.

I'd say you've called it Heatho(almost),...how about,... small flush if a full house includes a crown,...small royal flush if a full house includes a crown and a half sov,...and the royal flush would have to have a full house with a crown, half sov and a sov,...be a super royal flush if you also found a farthing for the bottom end of it.Heatho said:silver said:Heatho,....is that a Full house I'm looking at ?

Ring and coins came up great Heatho,...what do you recon the rc stands for on the ring ?,... could it be a home forged one from other melted down gold and still be real gold maybe,...rc could be the persons name from a gem club where it was created even,... so many questions manifesting from this find alone !,... like what makes you think it's not gold ?
