I'm OK...

I get over things very easy ...

But next time I am going to stand my ground and ask to speak to there supervisor...

Have to go up to Coffs harbour to have the CT Scan today...

So no food until it has been done..

While I am up there I am going to drop in to where the specialist is and leave him a message about what happen yesterday...

The fist time I seen this same specialist he left before seeing me ...mmmmmmm

He rang me and apologize to me about it..

I am not having much luck at moment...

They all must think petrol grows on tree's....

Will be so glad when it is all sorted with my tummy ...

Then to try and get something done about my back...

I will end up being a new build

I have NO Faith in the Health System at all after this happened...

Its sad that when a 'friend' had some 'issues' and was placed in the Mental Health 'Pod' for assessment before going into the Mental Health Ward.... They allowed the Partner in to comfort them before any Dr came in... During this time several other MH Patients were going off and were allowed to run amuck on the ward.. One particular fellow was demanding Drugs to get some sleep after a week of 'partying'... He kept kicking Doors, couches, and ripping posters off the walls and calling anyone a #$%%$#... Meanwhile the 'Staff' locked themselves in their safe area and refused to do anything about it... Security was called 8 times in 15min to settle this xyz down.. as soon as they left he started again... The Partner had had enough of the in-action of Staff and told this xyz to settle down as he was causing distress to other patients...

This xyz attacked him with a vengeance, causing some pretty serious injuries requiring several days in Hospital and 2 staff members were injured... The Partner lodged a Complaint, Police were called and Investigations by Hospital was commenced. The Partner said he was going to sue the hospital for Not keeping Patients and Visitors Safe and secure.. Once he stated this the staff went into damage control and refused any conversation with Him...

The Outcome was Outrageous... The Partner was deemed to Cause the issue and no further action was Needed... Police, Hospital Staff, Security and Management Destroyed all video footage, Records and evidence in relation to this Incident... With-out any evidence He didn't have a case against them... All the Top name Lawyers would not touch the case as they think that they, the Hospital is Un-sueable and He would Loose and have to pay them for their costs....

No wonder We loose faith in the System that is suppose to Help You...

That sux lone wolf

Having worked in the health care system, staff are told not to put themselves in danger and did the right thing by locking themselves in a safe area.
The security and police are the ones that did not perform their duty and should be to blame.

I think it might be irational, not 100% sure, but i nearly explode inside when i see grown men or women doing high fives fist pumps, or worst of all, the fist pump explosion. An its so often applied to very average events... like the end of an over at cricket.
Hate this in AFL these days. It nearly makes me vomit the way footballers highfive, hug and strut around after a goal. Puts me off footy a lot these days.
I have people present a high five or fist pump at work i just glare at them as i walk past.
I hope i dont come across this terrible phenomenum while prospecting ever. If i do i will SCREAAAAAM!!!!

What about the Protection of Patients and their Partners...... Total loss of Duty of Care... IMO
When you enter a Hospital you don't expect to get the :poop: bashed out of you... That xyz should have been behind lock and key and kept away from Everyone...

Police and Security are in co-hoots at GCUH and are above the law in QLD.... :brokenh:

I agree with you lw but it's not the nurses or doctors duty to also provide security. It's the guards and police that should be taking that on.

I hate lawyers also. They won't touch the case because your friend confronted the xyz. So therefore it's not a unprovoked attack in the laws eyes :(

Unfortunately security guards in QLD have no more powers of arrest or restraint than Joe blow off the street. Some one should have had him in isolation for sure.

I have been attacked by a meth head on the street in the middle of the day for no reason except being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He hit me so hard from behind that I bled from my nose and ear and although not knocked down I was totally disorientated for a while. He kept walking so I followed him until the police caught him, then he tried to attack them too resulting in four officers pilling in to control him. Meth heads can be really strong when on that stuff. These people are dangerous and should be kept in a cage, had I been an old man or lady or just hit in a slightly difrerent spot it could have easily been murder

There are many of the posts here that to me are quite rational, not irrational, and this is one of them.

Bloody knuckle heads who over take on double white lines ]:D had it happen twice today ]:D ]:D The 1st brain dead idiot came around the car behind me and then me approaching a crest in a cutting in a hundred zone ffs grrrr I wanted to knock their block off, this happened this morning. Then brain dead idiot number 2 this afternoon again in a hundred zone at least he was on the flat. The 2nd bloke I was sure would have been pinged for it because the copper chopper was in the sky but not to be unfortunately. The stupid thing about the 1st clown was I was doing 100kph the only reason was he/she saw the hill we were about to climb, no excuse though. Home now and not driving until Thursday so I will grab a beer and celebrate the fact I survived two f+) & 'N idiots today agghh give me strength.

Driving home from Rushworth yesterday, I saw one of these idiots too. I just shook my head and waited for the oncoming semi, but there wasn't one coming - fortunately for the young family in the car with the idiot father driving. Needs a smack up the side of the head for putting his entire family in danger, being an idiot! Speeding to overtake a car doing the speed limit, across double white lines and can't see what's coming around the corner - there's no excuse. ]:D

I'm hearing you MegsyB007, waiting for the innocent vehicle coming the other way :N: that's what makes my blood boil. If it were the case for me this morning (thankfully not) it would have been seriously bad. Once I knew they were coming around me I just concentrated on the road ahead to give me and everyone else a chance if it were to happen, just bloody sence less.

Always need to be aware of the easiest escape route which hopefully does the least amount of damage if things go pear shaped quickly. White posts rather than trees, sometimes even the opposite side of the road, hand brake turns etc.
Defensive driver courses should be mandatory for those seeking a licence.
