Hi all, Went back to the old homestead site yesterday afternoon,took the mower with me and mowed a little square because the grass was to long to detect properly.Anyway here's what I found......

1946 florin(3rd from this site) :D couple of penny's and half penny's.Was worth the effort to mow I reckon :D Here's the silver from this site in the last week......

And this next lot is from a new private permission,an old cottage from the early 1900's.....Went there this morning to check it out

The ruin's of the cottage are under the tree on the right,Found the coin's under the big gum tree on the left of the photo.

There are a few places I'd like to hit with a mower, though it might be frowned upon by the locals. :D Keep those finds coming, you are very lucky to have exclusive access to such sites, grid them up until they are devoid of targets. ;)
 
Cheers everyone.Yeah GP I feel very lucky to have access to these sites,I've been doing a lot of research and talking to some of the older locals.The local pub in the nearest town has been the best source of info.Heaps of old picture's on the wall and a map which has all the old homestead sites on it :eek: :D You gotta make your own luck I reckon ;) :cool:
 
Hi all,Went to try a new site today.It's a hall which was built in the 1920's and still operates as a hall today.I was talking to the president of the hall association and he gave me permission to detect but said it's been done over and wished me luck.Plenty of bottle top's and pulltabs but I managed to find some silver hiding amongst the junk. :D
