Newbie interested in Blackwood.

Hi Everyone! My 13-year-old daughter is really keen on rocks (particularly gold ones!) and I have just bought our family our first detector the Minelab Gold Monster 1000. We are keen to hunt in the Blackwood area as it is close to home and I grew up near there. Is there any old diggings that could be a good place to start or any other tips? Thank you! Tanya
