Monkey Creek -- The Oaks, Western Sydney

Does anyone know if Monkey creek or anywhere around the Oaks or Oakdale has sapphires or gold in it? I've got a friend with a property there and she reckons it looks like a gold bearing creek -- just wondered if anyone has any information about the creek or its surrounds?
