We've detected in the forests on multiple occasions with detecting clubs, also regularly come across forestry guys with no issues, I think they have more of an issue with people dumping rubbish vs taking it. ;)

Scrounger, yes it is cold, also have to pick your days due to the rain down here - might head off to Vic tomorrow for something different. :)

Man, it has been raining cats and dogs for several days straight now, along with wind, lightning, hail and freezing temps. The only way to get out was dressed as Michelin Man with several layers of clothing, and simply dodge the rain storms as they pass over. Needless to say I got saturated, but still managed a few finds to make the madness worthwhile and happy to score a couple of silvers (1946 sixpence & 1942 thrip). Half penny was 1925 plus a very nice but slightly grazed 1924 penny, the rest were roos.

The remainder was junk jewellery, the religious pendant was a goner being corroded straight through the guts. Will hopefully get out again today (praying to the sunshine god).

Howling winds and freezing cold here :N:
Im staying home with the heater on ;)
The maltese cross is pretty cool ... even if only junk

You can send the rain up here, we could use a good soaking. But keep the cold, we're all good for that :D
More nice relics for the shelf, hope it clears up for you.
