Glenn Fergus State Forest NSW

Has anyone tryed the Glenn Fergus State Forest? If so how did you go?

Pretty sure it was added to the Coornartha Nature Reserve in 2000, by virtue of the NATIONAL PARK ESTATE (SOUTHERN REGION RESERVATIONS) ACT.

I had a look on Bonzle, and there are a few old mine sites in the general area, but it does not look too exciting.

I might go out for a swing and have a bit of a look this weekend, can you suggest any good areas around Cooma mate?

Most of the old mines seem to be in a north south line to the east of Cooma. Search for Cooma on Bonzle and you will see the old mines identified, you can click on the mine to get info.

I have no idea about whether there is any accessible ground out there, although I do know that nuggets have been detected around Cooma. Maybe someone with local knowledge can assist.
