Found me some quartz

Went to Tuena this weekend for a look, found the biggest lump of quartz that I have ever personally seen. Ran north south but the only signal I got was a lead bullet, bugger!

The good reefs we have found at Tuena are running east- west. Your in the right sort of area though. Most of the points intersecting the creek are worth detcting. Try around the city of Sydney mine, it's on private property but not too hard to get permission.

DD, thanks for the head up, is there any historic maps and the names of the mines so I can use as a refferance?

The metallogenic maps have the old mines marked. Tuena is on the border of the Bathurst and Golburn maps you might need both. They are free to download.
