Only thing I haven't found on this one yet is a gold ring, hopefully soon mate.

I know if the bloke gets caught he'll cop a fine, just hope they don't ban detecting is all. We need some decent rain to help it grow back quickly, might actually get it today, quite a few storms building up.

I also found it quite interesting that the holes/craters seem to be more amongst the yellower/deader grass made me almost think council turning the soil and seeding. Just a very slim possibility.

I wondered that also, but they are not all in the yellowing stuff. The soil was very soft like it had been dug and just pushed back in without compacting. It's still a bit of a mystery I agree with all the yellow around some and not others..... Unless they were patches of weeds and the council pulled them and sprayed the spots, I dunno, bloody mystery.

Hmmm seems there were fewer pulltabs between the CTX and it's first gold than I thought there would be, 18ct 7.9g of the good stuff. Very happy, pity it's too small for me though. Target ID was 12-31, thought it was going to be a Sixpence, how pleasantly surprised I was when it gleamed a nice gold colour at me in the bright sun. Nice find to finish up the year with.

Cheers fellas, always due for a gold ring, lol. When I fist saw it I thought, oh geez not another gold plated one but wiped the crusty dirt off and it was gleaming and quite heavy, then thought nah this is the real deal. Stoked!

Maybe, depends on what light you look at it under, it's quite yellow under sunlight.
