99% sure this is an early 1800s George III halfpenny
It's 29mm and the tiny head looks like it
What you think??? Other side hard to see, but seated left

The harp is Eire
and with a crown..... could be a button from the black n tans (don't really know that)

and with a crown..... could be a button from the black n tans (don't really know that)

Heck, maybe it IS a button I thought it might be too sizy..

It may be a wax seal embosser for letters perhaps?

It may have something to do with the Royal Irish Regiment or similar?

And this one on a headstone of a member of the Royal Irish Rifles from WW1

The Royal Irish rifles were formed on July 1st 1881, which is just at the end of when the first Boer was was fought. You may have found something that belonged to an ex soldier who came back to Australia, or an immigrant who came here later who had served with them somewhere.
