Managed to get 1hr in this morning before splitting wood all day. Snagged these beauties very happy.

Out with youngest daughter (my chauffeur, digger and direction finder), Mardymoose, Patrick1 and Tryhard today. Great company as always, with a great meal at the Maryborough Golf & Bowls Club last night.
I put a bigger 17" x 14" Evo coil on my 4500 as we were into deeper ground (most of the time). Picked up 4 tiddlers for 1.6g at a new spot around Maryborough though only in shallower ground, but was OK with that. It still worked fine.

I reckon for similar gold weight, a specci is way more valuable as they become collectors items, which show some of the history in the gold's formation. I love the speccies, but have only found a few really good ones. Have seen some absolute beauties tho - on PA and in collections.

Any nugget big enough to be picked up by hand is a good size. My biggest nugget from Maryborough was 10 gram. Still amazed at that one.
Recently I found a spot near Creswick that consistently produces very tiny nuggets, however my GPX5000 is not good at finding the real tiny ones. I showed a newbie my spot and he collects up to 10 or more sub grammers daily. He uses an SDC2300 and I just can't compete.
Talk about tiny ones, using panning methods I can see them so small I'm sure you can put 50 on a pin head. How the blazes can you collect these ones? I lose half by trying to collect them. :/
