Arltunga is the closest place for gold. only managed to get out there once so far, just waiting for it to cool off abit and then ill be out as much as i can. From what i have been able to research there isnt any gold locally ( in or close to town), but there is always a chance, so i just head...

So that escalated quickly...... from ... just going to start with panning.. seems i caught the fever and now have a brand spanking new sdc2300... too many places not enough time... slow and low, step by step.

Hi Guys/Gals, just starting out and toying with the idea of detecting (and panning). Was wondering if anyone has had any experience using the AT Gold in the NT, highly mineralised ground and if they are capable of giving good results up here. Haven't had much luck on finding much information...

have had a blast with DT cons ... found colour in pretty much every pan so far, trying to get a decent tech for dry panning ( not much water/running creeks up here) and go from there. thanks for the warm welcome guys/gals. cheers, Dale
