I like my cheap pin pointer from ebay. Used it a couple of times out and it really helps find objects in the ground.Saves me heaps of time digging holes bigger than i have to.
Only had it for a few weeks so time will tell if its really crap or worth the money.

just came back from holidays in SA.
Total find in coins on beaches 22 cents!
Now the beaches i went to , not many people on them and they where clean i.e no ring tabs but a few molten drink cans.
So not much luck out there.

It does my head in when I see my favourite foods that i consume change formula or shrink their size.
If something is good and consumers love it why go and change the formula so you can save .002 cents.
How many time has coke shot itself in the food.

saw a Garrett edge digger here at port lincoln for 85 bucks.
the reviews I have seen have handles breaking on them.
Is it still a good buy or wait?
mixo
Well that's what I though...maybe they don't carry change to lose?
Anyway the kids disappointed, maybe try a local park/beach area that is not far from our camp tonite.
Saw a Garrett digger here for 85 bucks..not sure about those people complain that the handle breaks on them.

Got a scoop used it on the beach but no luck.im in a secret location here at Port Lincoln did the local beach not one cent..just pull tabs cans and wrapper foil.
Just no luck or the port Lincoln locals are tight with their cash and rings...
Keep trying....

digger is next on the list, but a good one is 80 plus bucks...
Pinpointer is a must, well for me, takes ages to find the bloody 2 cent piece!
I will see how many coins i find on the beach in a few days!
wish everyone a merry xmas.
mixo
hahhaha..yes
But we are going to busy when i'm off on holiday in the next few days.
Just want to get the kids excited about it and who knows they might actually learn something that is not pokemon/beyblade etc etc
mixo
Yeah I saw that one, was looking for something a little more elegant.
I can always put hem in a jar.. hehehehe
Also how do you put labels on those.
Anyhow i'll keep looking.

Hi guys,
Anyone know of a good coin book or folder to store coins?
I want my kids to store them when they find them so they can look at the coins and what year they are.
Start with decimals and then the old stuff..
Anyone seen anything that will do the job?
mixo
lots of question coming...
What I am finding is that there is no stickies for newbies that are going to ask basic questions.
Is there something like this and I am missing it?
mixo
Got my spreadsheet up filling it in.now to figure out how to sort and throw out the years that are of no value!...
Excel , well google sheets is not my strengths.
Sure learning a lot about coins values and their characteristics.
