I will have to sell the 505 same week if i purchase a new detector! Wife we not know, but if she see's 2 detectors it will be whats that another toy! She still thinks i got the 505, 2 coils, pinpointer and relic digger, cloth tape, 24 german aa batteries, lcd cover all for $150 all up!

I seem to find most $1 $2 coins 1 to 3 inches down! Today tried a new park found junk and an earing! Reason i ask, a work mate is selling his safari (and offered it to me to try this saturday morning) so am thinking if the tones and numbers are different to what iam used to, would be pointless, but i guess i can still give it a go!

Are most Detectors different as in the numbers they display! Minelabs 3030, E track, X-TERRA would they all be different or simular! And is it a big learning curve going from one manufacturer to another? Or the well seasoned metal detector people would work it out straight away! Cheers
