Sensitivity near fences

Hi guys been watching a Lot of detecting videos on utube, one video was suggesting to detect along the fencing of parks! But when i get anywhere near a fence my detector screams, if i drop the sensitivity i cant find the target! I also have the same problem in playgrounds, i use a X-TERRA 505.
Any tips? Cheers

That's not uncommon, you may want to invest in a small coil for getting close to fences, metal poles, play equipment etc. For example, I found the 4.5" sniper coil was perfect for that exact scenario on my At Gold whereas my larger coils would go crazy at the thought.
