I smiled tooday because I kept a chinese "Telstra technician" on the phone for 19 minutes before he got angry and hung up on me in absolute frustration. My record is 35mins. :D Will be hard to beat 35mins as even I get bored wasting the scammers time. :p

Anyone else enjoy this hobby? :Y: :)

Guns,bombs,revenge,it has it all ]:D

P.S. hopefully this post won't fall under any "snowflake" censorship :(

I had a great day. After breakfast and gifts for my wife, it was off to the coin show in Brisbane and I wasn,t disappointed.
First up, uncirculated Holy Dollar $550.000  true, next a 1930 penny $27,000  then I had a little flutter, ad96 Nerva silver denarius now that's a coin and no where near those prices. Made me smile.
Mackka

Today saw the replacement of a stolen 'oldest coin find' for me personally.

Previously, i had found an 1883 Threepence which ended up part of a stolen hoard. Went out for a few hours this arvo as a last minute thing and came home trumps.

No Gold today, but i did find Silver... in the form of someones lunch money..a worn but easily defined 1851 SIXPENCE...so i beat my oldest date by 30+ years, and double the face value to boot... :D

Go anywhere from $15-40 on ebay... :Y:

Gold still alludes me to date for this year, but i have only been out 4-5 times...

Thanks Macka...i'm chuffed about it, and to make things even better, it is also in better grade condition than what the old Threepence was....no cleaning done, just dropped it into a pill bottle with water while i was detecting to remove the 'dirt'...i will leave the patina on it. It looks like it suffered from gravel rash as a result of my disturbing it...

Cheers
