Hey Silver ..That one sat in the cab for 3 days ...it still had some crusty stuff on it ...so it went into the electrolesses bath for about 3 mins...then a scrub with a tooth brush and bicarb soda...I did rub it with bicarb again ...and it came up silverish again :Y:

Yer B5 out of range in discrimination mode and really scratchy ..... id jumping all over the place..probs 50 junk targets to 1 good target now

Well got home from work early....and im in the bad books with the missis...because apparently......all i ever think about is detecting........Anyway i said im all yours for the arvo.........as i look over at the terra.......leaning aganst the wall.......calling out to me ] ] ] GO ON ....YOU CAN DO IT ......TAKE ME FOR A SWING. ] ] ] Well cut a long story short ...5 mins later im swinging in the Silver Sand pit 1hr later and junk after junk....i moved to another area where i got my first 2 pennys...i had been over this area before...but i feel more confident now so i gridded this area for the next half hour...and this is what i got....

and a sunbaker ...just waiting to be found

So i will grid this area for the next week or so....as long as im not going through a divorce :Y:

Hahaha b5...I hope so....some of the pennies i found were almost sunbaking...just a wipe with the finger to expose the coin

Might have been the electrolysis Smokey, was it a clean batch of juice, special for the metal type ? 8)

Yer mate it was...it came up clean again after rubbing with bi carb...i put a bit of vaso on it this time.....may even get a silver cloth and see what happens :Y:

I would love to know that to tribsa....You think it would have been somewhere local..Probs from and old park ...or house...that now has an estate built on it... :Y:

Might want a small coil mate...youll have at least5 targets under the coil at one time. :Y:Theres that much aluminium bits mixed in the ground you can dig a shovel full of dirt ...anywhere in the yard and pull out multiple peices...

Yeah I will bring the smaller 10 x5 also. But the ctx usually indicates how many targets are underneath . If really trashy I can quickly switch to the smaller coil. All I need is just a hint smoky and just trust the detector . Having said that I'm a beach specialist at the moment , so don't throw any bricks if I don't come up trumps :lol:
