Looks like it was a great day out Ian, and some interesting finds in that medallion. Have to give this type of detecting a go one day myself, as colonial history has always been a fascination I've wanted to pursue. Good luck on the next hunt mate.

Can be a very rewarding way to spend a day Wal, you just never know what will turn up. Not too much colonial stuff around my way but plenty of silver coins and some jewellery, keeps me happy and off the couch in between gold and gemstone hunts.

We found our first Sydney token too and i know that feeling, such a cool find and surprised how good a condition they stay in for being so old

Hey Willo, Tokens make you wonder so many things, dont they. While we were away in Qld, I found A Stewart and Hemments Drapers token, and while it was for a penny's worth of goods, I wondered who lost it, how much they would have got for it and why they were way out in the bush with a drapers token. Makes ya wonder!
