Getting a few strawberries now
Hanging the larger soon to be ripe ones up over the leaves.... so the slugs can't find them before I do.
Also... I don't usually eat them out in the garden incase the birds see me eat them.... they might try them out if they see me do it :argh:

I can see we'll get some spuds.... I watched an old bloke on utube harvest his spuds, he planted the biggest one again for his next crop... what a knowledgeable old gent he was.

Nice work mate...weeds, I'm going the weed mat on eBay, worth the coin I reckon considering I have to get the most out of the water I have stored.
Lost half of 1 tank recently, padlock on front gate now.
In drought it seems H2O makes people do strange things like gold lol

Any tips to stop a possum family to eat my veggies patch?! They love my strawberries so I try to take them as soon as they are a bit red...!

My cherry tomatoes are almost red and I have a feeling I will not be quick enough to taste them ?

Well I have a possum here.... but the veggie garden friendly dog probly makes him keep to the tree tops mostly at night.
apparently though, you can spray copper oxy chloride for rats etc.... as it drys out their mouth and they don't like how it feels.
but you'd have to find out what plants don't like copper first.
that's why i havn't sprayed my pawpaws yet with it, as the strawberries are underneath them and I don't know if they will stand copper or not.

Well here's the upside down tomato
Looks nice
Tasted nice :drooling:

funny though how this one that started growing all by itself next to the compost bin is growing well.... and exponentially now too that it's really up and away
1567053935_screenshot_2019-08-29-14-37-57.jpg

mind you though.... it's feeding everytime I water the compost next to it....in fact... I water the compost much more than the tomato plant there, as the cement slab under the compost tilts straight towards the tomato plant :p

What's growing - pretty well everything now - just emptied 75 mm out of the gauge. Pleased - but feeling guilty over the plight of others who aren't getting a drop.
