Put bits of pvc pipe over the tube so it rolls them off easier , and add some soy sauce in the bucket for marinade if you intend feeding them to the cat later.

(Kidding)

Just water would do

They are one of the best mouse traps I have seen , mice appear to be born knowing instinctively what spring type mouse traps are and they dont go near them , even when they have probably never seen one they still know not to touch them ,or they know how to set them off without harm.

Whats the bait ? I heard mice love peanut butter.

Yeah AF just peanut butter smeared over the centre pole. Anyway that's what's on their now so I'll see how it goes over the week and change it if needed.

After the first one I've decided to make a bracket to rest the ramps on so I can just lift them off and use the handle of the bucket when emptying. The ramps are mounted at 90 deg to the handle so by screwing them on the handles useless oh well ya get that later in the day when it's been an early start. Just another job that means I'll get a beer as a reward :Y: at the end :D.

Lol regards the soy :Y: but the cat gets plenty enough already, mice rat's and still wants 10 feeds a day of dry food  . I gave thought to using poly but thought I'd see how the stock build goes first up. Got heaps of poly so I'll try it on another bucket. We've got chooks in four different locations  don't ask, so I can try variations in build type and choose what works best.

Made this as a bit of fun today.... a wood puzzle from a SINGLE piece of 70 x 35 x 160 mm pine and ONE piece steel bolt.

Clever. Saw this on Youtube. Would be a bit more difficult if you were trying to use a bit of Red Gum.

Just finished my gas bottle stove thingy. I cut the top out of a 4kg gas bottle welded some nuts underneath so I can remove the legs. I got my mate at the exhaust shop to make the chimney in three sections so it can be transported in the least amount of space. Hinged the cook plate so it can be used as a contained fire heater. Ill fire it up when the stove paint has dried and see if its a success or not

What did the stove paint set you back the reason I ask is they want a kings ransom from the wood heater joints. An alternative drop into an auto shop and grab a few cans of exhaust paint obviously can handle heat cheap as chips compared to Stove Paint. Nice looking unit sure it'll serve you well.

WELL ILL BE. I went back to the last spot I used my diamond digger & there it was. You little beauty. I found the SS a little weak under the strain of leaving out a plug, maybe a V bend up the blade might stiffen it up. Got some old 36 mower blades to play with. Cheers.
