Hey everyone.
Been doing bugger all prospecting lately knees and back playing up a bit.
So spending a lot of time in the shed playing with knives instead.
This one I experimented with a "Forced Patina" Warm vinegar bath then mustard to get an oxide layer that helps prevent brown rust.

This one was a pain of my own making.
Leaf spring from mystery car.
I accidentally bevelled the tang making drilling holes and fitting scales a challenge.
The scales are layers of Heshen/potatoe sack soaked in resin with black pigment powder mixed in.

Hi LC , nice work , when you say resin , are you using fibreglass resin or something else ?

I think I got about 12 layers of heshen in the press before I ran out of resin
