The sad news of WWII Forces Sweetheart Dame Vera Lynn has died aged 103, She travelled the world during WWII just to let the Troops know they were not forgotten who bought a lot of joy to the world during the darkest of times, and in modern times in 2010 she had a No 1 Hit in the Charts at the age of 94,

Definitely a true lady of her time, while reading about Vera Lynn on Wikipedia her spirit reminds me of my grandmother, mother and aunties who lived through the 2nd world war era. Such an amazing lady to give so much of her life to lift other people's spirit and let them escape the trouble around them for a brief moment.
