I always take my camera with me just in case.
These pic's were taken a few years ago while fishing on the Murray River, the camera was a cheap Kodak digital.

I have captured plenty more great pic's on my Sony A57 but the files are 4 & 5Mb and won't load. Photography is a great hobby and we are getting a few of our photo's enlarged to go on the wall of our new house, it's better than looking at someone else's picture on the wall that has no meaning behind it.

awesome! have to spend some time up the murray before i move back north next year many memories of trout back in the day

1st pic was taken just as i stepped out of the c/van door when staying in Central West NSW. The BANG from the three sisters caused my body to leave the scene long before my feet.

The other three are just a few of which i took when living in Kambalda East up at the lookout here in WA round 2011-12.

We were up there one evening when the tower was hit. :D Knowing eventually it was going to happen due to our chasing the evening storms for such pics, i thought it best to ready the other half on the most awesome BANG she will ever hear should we be so close to one....when it struck. :D We were parked about 15mts from the tower. I never did finish my sentence. I believe my ears are still ringing today. :D

I love taking lightning shots over all other photography.

PS..The little shed just in front was about 20ft from my van in the same yard, all other sheds belong to neighbors.

I know the feeling, my dearly departed farther and myself were carrying an aluminium ladder up towards our farm water tower when a huge bolt hit the big gum tree beside us, sending huge splinters of timber flying everywhere around us. We threw the ladder down and ran back to the house as quickly as we could,...lucky to be here to type about it I recon, biggest splinter was about two feet long and six inches wide.(laughing about it now)
