Hello, just wondering if anyone knows of an old park in the Riverland for detecting. Thanks!
:)

Sometimes if there is not much info around on a particular park, just going for a blind detect to see what pops up is a good way to test for older gear. It only takes one pre-decimal or relic find to know you are in the right spot, especially if you start to find older decimal coinage. I would think any park areas close to the Murray would be good spots to start, as they would have been well patronised in the past with picnics/swimming etc. Also have a look/research any areas where paddlesteamers pulled up for passengers/offloading gear, I'm sure much would have been dropped in those areas.

Boat ramps and shallow water near the ramps should be great spots for locating lost rings and jewellery - cold water = loose rings. ;)
