Hi Everyone, I have been a fossicker/prospector on and off for more than 40 years. A bit of gold panning and detecting as well as Opal and gemstone hunting, mainly across NSW. I worked in underground and above ground mines testing conveyor systems around the world (mostly coal but hard rock mining as well). My grandfather was a fossicker and I picked up the interest from him, I majored in geology at university.
I have never had much success at gold finding but look forward to getting back into the hobby. I am based in Sydney and previously spent time around the Hill End area looking for gold. Cheers, Anthony
