The best of it was another five silvers - two shillings and three (2 and three quarters of) six pence along with a large penny, half penny, some brown buggers and a fifty and a twenty cent piece - also what looks to be a sterling silver earring pendant - we will know more after clean up.

The spoon on the left is quite old and has some markings on the back of the handle which are interesting...

All in all a good weekend and great to be back with Bogan doing what we love to do...

.....if only lead were gold! :) It certainly doesn't take long to accumulate a decent amount of sinkers, lures have also been pretty common at the high tide line this year. Should call you guys the Spoonmen, still can't complain, it's still a decent amount of silver to add to the collection. :)

Sweet, despite the pitting on the face, it still has some pretty good detail for being in such a corrosive environment. :) :)

Another day and another hunt ... This time for about 90 minutes on my own for a bit of lunchtime exercise... Here are the finds...

Nothing to write home about - I did get three silvers - a 1955 six pence - a 1956 three pence and a another older three pence that will need a clean up to read...

A very worn twenty cent piece and a fifty cent piece ... Pretty cold out there with a bit of a wind but when you are out there having fun you don't even notice! :)

Hi Guys,

Great going with your thread, I'm a fan

Why is the 1956 three pence inverted??

Cleaned up the shilling for the other night to find it in really good condition with no pits

Some of the photos that I've posted lately are not that good, but I have cleaned the lens so mine should get better.

There is a silver three pence and a large penny amongst the other treasure and junk ... Even an iPhone 4! :)

I'm not sure Peter ... We will have to let bogan answer as he was the one who went detecting and left his finds on my table! :)

Paulmarr ... After I posted my comment to you.... I magnified the pic of the phone... I should have looked first, because the phone you found is not mine... its in much better condition than mine.... LOL
