60 i didnt see the "X" symbol it to early in thy mornin

The crazy thing is 5+5 =10 and if you Times it by 2 it equals 20, BUT

If you do 5+5 without pressing the Equals sign and then Times it by 2 you get 15

So 5 + 5 X 2 = 15,

Normal Maths you would press the equals sign but if you work it out as printed then you get 15,

It's a trick question because by rights the Answer should be 20.

Does The hypotenuses on the bottom triangle have an upward curve expanding the area within the triangle . Just a guess .

Because the green section has 5 with 3 on top and the yellow has 5 with 2 under, nuyk nuyk nuyk

We make the assumption that the top object is a triangle. In reality its not quite there. The hypotenuse of the top object is not quite a straight line. It is actually two lines that have a lower point at the junction of the red and green lines. The potential area that is lost equates to the one square in the bottom figure.

Sorry. Not quite right. You havea loss of half a square in the top piece and gain half a square in the bottom piece. Neither are true triangles. Was just driving out and thought about it.
