I've lived in albury all my life and I've only just started "prospecting". I'm 19 years old and keen to get a bit of gold while injoying the bush, I usually go hunting or 4wding every time I can but now chasing Gold !! I have joined this form to get a bit of knowledge and make some new friends that like the same thing as I do. Only place I've gone is Reedy creek Eldrado and Beechworth seemed to go alright.

No detector yet just got a sluice but thinking about getting a gpx 5000 or gpz 7000, witch one will be the best for a beginner ?

Welcome Dylan, plenty in the area to detect. If your into camping, 4WDing youll have the likes of Buckland Valley, Dargo, Jamieson, Woodspoint also.

Lots of great info and people here always willing to help out a fellow addict layful:
GPX 4500 or an SDC 2300 would both be great tools to start you off and both around the same price tag..
