Basically the 705 dual pack gives you an all in one machine. Coin and treasure, and gold detector.
Just keep in mind it is good at both but not great at either. It is a good starters detector i really enjoy using my xterra 705. Hope this helps.

Ahh ok, so you just change the coils over depending on what your looking for?

That's it
I have the xterra 705 gold pack which comes with just the dd coil. I use this coil everywhere, and works fine. The concentric coils is better for parks where it isnt as noisy and punches a little deeper but you dont need it, if you had one you would use it tho. The dd coil will be better to use on the beaches which will help with the salts in the sand and the xterra 705 also has a beach function which when used with the dd helps to ground balance the detector to keep it stable. Someone on here may also be able to elaborate a little more on the different coils but that is them in a nut shell.
I think $750 is reasonable considering its only a few months old, but if you can get it cheaper even better, i think they are about 900 bucks for the dual pack brand new.
Good luck
