Looks like many of these recommendations are detector based apart from Ted Abbott. Are there any other recommendations for traditional, ie panning, sluicing and what to look for type tours or training

Gold Prospecting Australia, announced a couple of weeks ago, that they have ceased their FNQ tours after 10 years of operating them. They will however be continuing the their Vic GT training days and tours.
Prior to me attending their FNQ trip this year I attended a training day in Vic when I first got my GPX4500 a couple of years ago, and where I found my first piece if gold. I did their training prior the Minelab training and found their training so much better, to the point I found the Minelab training, in comparison, a total waste of time. I am not associated with them in any way. Just highly recommend them. Cheers
Agree with Minelab training day Dig'n-it, $9500 spend (GPZ7000) I would have expected a bit more. Also done a 1 on 1 full day course $600 that I believe wasn't worth money (guide name withheld)

Sorry, I know this goes against the "comment only on tours you have done" BUT ...... this bloke seems to be a problem.

Plenty of adverse comments on FB .....

As WA tours have now been going for a while this year would be interesting to get some 1st hand reviews and comments.
Cheers T.

Disappointing

When I bought my 5000 in Nov. 2012 , from a popular dealer in Vic. , it came with a days training

There was about 8 others on the day

We had a bit of whiteboard stuff , then out to a spot for most of the day , others left at different times of the day , but
The guy taking the training stayed with me til about 4pm.

The next Saturday I decided to do the whole thing again & it cost me less than $100 .

Obviously that was a few years , but $600 seems excessive.

This guy buys fake reviews, look through his facebook reviews and you will come across hundreds of fake profiles giving him 5 star reviews, on sites like fiverr you can buy comments, likes and shares for social media which come from farmed accounts. For someone to do something like that in this community deserves a few raised eyebrows.
