think it’s off a necklace, it has a stamp on back but can’t tell what it says. Top stone looks like a diamond but I’m not an expert by any means, but bottom stone not sure. Any thoughts guys?

The big stone may be a very dark sapphire. Try putting a bright light behind it and see whether it's actually dark blue - any colour should at least be apparent around the thinner edges. Since the setting appears to be gold, a diamond at the top over a sapphire below would be plausible.

There is a device that can identify diamonds with a single touch. It is about the size of a ball-point pen and contains a battery which can heat the tip to red heat.A diamond, being pure carbon, is a heat sink and when the hot tip of the instrument is applied, the heat is immediately drained away and the machine goes "Beep."
It takes no expertise and the stone is not damaged.
A friendly jeweller or gemmologist should be able to help you with the identification. Other diamond-like stones do not activate the instument.
