Hi Members
Thought it about time I introduced myself. Although this is my first post I have learnt a lot and enjoyed reading forum posts over the last year or so. Not being a good writer I'll try to contribute now and again. Close to 70 I began detecting with a Fisher F2 over 10 yrs ago for trash and relics. Purchased a s/h GM 1000 in 2020 and took a while to find my first couple small gold nuggets, in 2021 purchased an early GPX 4500 and found a small patch which helped me to follow up and learn put into practice from what I had read helping to detect better.
From one .2gm piece with the GM it took nearly 12months to find the patch. My detecting has been limited to small area on my property near Canberra and I would like to venture further afield in the future . Love the outdoors and the contributions members have posted.
