had a beach hunt today , found a coin patch with a florin , penny and about 24 one and two cents, just wondering if there is a reason why there were so many copper coins together.
I come across this a lot many people including myself lay 1 and 2 c coins to see if the area is being detected by anyone else, and in some areas i thinks people have just thrown them away very often i get 20 to 30 in one spot
I got two spots in the park where I'm detecting like that. I just give it miss now, I got three and half kilos of 1 and 2 cents in the garage and don't want any more.

Had the same with 5c coins, about 15 from an area about 3x3m one day. I think at times the tidal action tends to group or sort similar coins in the same locality, a lot of these lighter coins tend to get flicked up to the top of the beach.
