not as big a joke as you may think
The guy & his wife (who arent actually so old) that were recently reported (late last year) as having found a large nugget (They've found several over the last few years) was showing a short video of his wife walking up to the nugget they called the 'Star Gazer'. It's a big lump of ironstone & quartz with veins as thick as your finger running through it. She literally seen the sun glinting on the gold in it as it was happily sitting on the surface amongst the scattered rocks.

Veronica sure has got the boiler steaming up
currently at Cat4, expected to reach Cat5 by 8pm tonight & stay that strong up close to landfall. They dont get much stronger than this willy willy

Have been watching the Palmer River water levels, as I plan to visit the gold fields late April or early May.
They were receding nicely until Trevor hit.
Our mates in the Palmer Goldfields will be locked in for a while now!
Unless they use the chopper service

I got out on Monday, just in time I think, got a warning from another local miner by way of Drone :Y:
Just about out of fuel for the washplant anyway, so home instead of resupply was the order.

Now I'm flooded in at home!
