Even $16 is a good session in my book, the 47' florin looks older than it actually is - looks pretty worn :) .

Cheers fellas.

It does a bit GP but it's still pretty caked with dirt, will clean it up tomorrow and post a pic.

Next week B5 for a few days.

Hit a little harbour beach today, have done it before but not low and slow like I did today, even managed a few pre dec coins, highlights were a shilling and florin. The owl ring is a junker, thought it was a good chunk of silver at first but no hallmarks.

AR did you see the ring at the top of page 20, still grinning from that one.

Cheers fellas, yeah pity about the owl ring, oh well, will keep it in the collection.

It does hey, I find it weird that coppers do that after being in a tidal area for so long, the crud gets so thick that when you tap them on concrete it just comes straight off and leaves them perfectly clean underneath...

Not a bad little patch Heatho, makes you wonder what might hiding deeper down if the beach were to cop some erosion, especially with a few predecs appearing at depth. :Y:

Cheers fellas.

GP, this beach is a bit of an oddity, it's just very narrow and then about 10 metres out into the water it drops off near vertically to over 100 feet deep, I could probably wade out a little but I'm not that keen to be honest. The park behind the beach has always paid very well in goldies and a couple of rings, also a few pre dec coins too.

Nice Heatho , did the other ring come up trumps mate?

If you mean the pandora Dan it's pretty much a junker.

Hit a park today that I occasionally do which generally replenishes pretty quickly, the brooch was a real heart starter, but it's just a junker as is the ring. Good amount of goldies there though.
