Happy to help Eldorado :Y:

Hi Silver,
Maybe you should also be checking all 5 cent pieces for small or low SD as they mixed old dies with the new dies from 2007 onwards the SD can be low or smaller also the position can alter on many of the older dies that were used from 2007.
Also IRB was missing on some coins in 2019 that were produced for mint sets.
cheers db

Thanks for that deepblue, I often wondered about some of the SD's on coins... I'd sit one aside and check others as they came through from the same year (cause something in the back of your mind says " I thought they were different") I must have only been seeing their friends travelling alongside... so gave up looking. So it's gunna be good to have those new parameters for hunting now. Is there an actual log of what SD in which years or are we flying blind ?

Here's a few more from this last hunt worth looking for :p ....
(I'll try to keep any errors centre field on the closeups)

1610162424_screenshot_2021-01-09-13-03-51.jpg

One may ponder the point of error coins where one cannot see the error easily with the naked eye..... the answer to that of course is " because it's there"

Happy hunting
:D

lol runny nose cud 2019   first covid coin discovery

Seriously but silver you have taken what i thought previously would have been a tedious task into an absolute treasure hunt and the genuine or pure essence of fossicking/prospecting.

Covid coin lol, you've named it now Gem in I. I like to think of a coin roll like a scratchie or a kinder surprise..... never know what your going to find (could be a dud or a winner), beauty of it is that you can cash out what you don't want to keep so it's not really a loss anyway.... it's win win all the way I recon :D

Your junk pile is a lot more lucrative than all of ours although i think i am one up on scratchie players junk

Used some bill money to have a looksee... I'll get most of it back to use on the bills anyway (plus I catered for $20 extra anyway)
Couple of nicer finds

So.... another happy hunting hour (or two lol)
and at rock bottom prices too :p

Doing better than me Adrian, I don't even have one of those donation dollars yet.
I know the two purple $2 coins are well sought after by everyone as they have jumped in price lately. The rest are nice to have in good condition because the longer they end up circulating the more paint they lose.
I'll find a few things to link to.

Most of the coloured $2 coins are selling for a minimum $4.The purple Coronation ones are selling for $30 - $100 depending on condition.Another low mintage one worth a pretty penny is the 2012 red poppy.Very hard to find though.
