"The pilbara goldfield was proclaimed on 1 October 1888, with Mr C. W. Nyulasky being appointed the first mining warden. His reign was to be short. He became I'll and died May 1889. The cause was said to be sunstroke. Mr Lamden Owens succeeded him as warden.
The Pilbara goldfield is devided into to main districts, those of Nullagine and Marble Bar. The alluvial deposits in both areas are extensive. And have the distinction of holding the record for the most number of nuggets over 50 ounces ever found."

The answer is 2. Another example of Australia punching well above its weight.
